Remember, last February, Lyon-based Antoine Chambe told us in his interview for RODMUSIC that he was working hard on his debut EP “Make Me Alive” and couldn’t wait to present it to us. Well, it’s finally out and you can already find it on all the music platforms.
Released on the Tech’Me House label, the EP is made up of 7 tracks, including 4 remixes, all steeped in a Deep House mood.
To kick things off, an intro that really whets the appetite, with that bewitching voice in the background and strongly marked chords that win us over straight away.
Next comes “Make Me Alive”, surely the standout track of the EP. From the very first notes, you can hear real maturity in it, thanks to a very simple melody that sticks in your head (the simplest melodies are often the hardest to find), not to mention the sublime voice of singer JordinLaine crowning it all.
The 3rd track, “No Lies”, is also one to enjoy without moderation. This time, a male voice accompanies the instrumental, and not just any voice: it’s Antoine Chambe’s own, rearranged.
The rest of the EP is made up of 4 remixes by NHYX, Kidswaste, Miskeyz and Colbat. Each artist has really brought their own personal touch. NHYX, for example, played a lot with the vocals on his remix of “Make Me Alive” and turned it into a more club-friendly version.
