Who is responsible for your data?

Rodmusic, 20 Lotissement les hauts de bompart, 16400 Vœuil-et-Giget, France (SIRET 82844414100026). Data controller: Romain Desmoulins. Contact: hello@rodmusic.fr.

Newsletter

If you sign up for the newsletter, we store your email address, and nothing else.

  • Why: to send you the Rodmusic newsletter (new releases, favourites, selections).
  • Legal basis: your consent, given when you sign up.
  • How long: until you unsubscribe. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also write to us.
  • Provider: emails are sent through Resend, an email delivery service based in the United States, which processes your address on our behalf only.

Your address is never sold or passed on.

Audience measurement

We measure traffic and how the site is used (page views, articles read, searches, players launched, clicks to ticketing and playlists) with two tools:

  • Vercel Web Analytics: aggregated, anonymous statistics, no cookies.
  • PostHog (hosted in the European Union): if you accept cookies, PostHog uses a cookie and browser storage to recognise your visit and may record your journey on the site (input fields are masked). If you decline, PostHog runs with no cookies and no storage at all: visits are counted anonymously, with no way to recognise you from one visit to the next.

Rodmusic does not keep IP addresses.

Embedded content

Articles embed YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud or Apple Music players. On your first visit, we ask for your consent. If you accept the “Embedded players” category, players load automatically. Otherwise, they stay on hold and only load if you click “Load the player”. YouTube video thumbnails are displayed from Google’s servers, which then receive your IP address, without cookies. Once loaded, each player may set its own cookies and collect data under its own rules:

Meta advertising

Rodmusic promotes its content and playlists on Facebook and Instagram. Only with your consent does the site load the Meta pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland), which tells Meta which pages you view so we can measure how well our ads work and show you our content on those networks. The pixel sets the _fbp and _fbc cookies and sends Meta your IP address and information about your browser. Without your consent, no call is made to Meta. If you withdraw your consent, the pixel is switched off and its cookies are deleted.

Cookies

Cookies fall into four categories: essential (remembering your choice, always on), audience measurement (PostHog), embedded players (YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, Apple Music) and Meta advertising. On your first visit you can accept all, decline all or choose category by category with “Customise”. Your choice is kept for six months in your browser, and you can change it at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of the page. So that we can prove your consent was properly collected, each choice is also recorded in a register hosted in France (Vercel, Paris): a random anonymous identifier, the choice for each category, the date and the banner version, with no IP address or other data about you.

Links to other sites

“Tickets”, “Info” and shop links lead to third-party sites with their own privacy rules. Some links in the Sound & tech section are affiliate links: the retailer knows you came from Rodmusic, but we do not receive your data.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (United States), which keeps technical logs (IP address, date, requested page) for security and to keep the service running.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data, object to its processing or withdraw your consent at any time by writing to hello@rodmusic.fr. If you believe your rights are not respected, you can complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
