Ten years, three line-ups, one certainty. BLOW came back on 1 May with “Superstar”, and the track is no mere comeback. It’s the first single from the EP POST GLOOM, due on 18 September, and the first building block of a new album in the works. The French duo, now signed to Nettwerk, sets out the shape of a chapter it has taken a decade to earn.
Born in Paris, BLOW started out as a four-piece, then a trio, and today comes down to two: Quentin Guglielmi and Jean-Etienne Maillard. This stripping back isn’t a loss, it’s a distillation. Fall in Deep, Vertigo, Shake the Disease, and now POST GLOOM, introduced by “Superstar”: so many chapters that keep writing the project’s story.
This new track breathes light. A caressing French touch, a sun-soaked groove, and that airy signature that has stuck to BLOW since day one. You can hear a duo with nothing left to prove, just something to give.
