Elektric Park teams up with Madame Loyal for an XXL open air in Chatou

On 5 and 6 September, the Île des Impressionnistes hosts the first collaboration between Elektric Park and Madame Loyal. Four stages, more than 60 artists, and an entire island turned into an electronic funfair twenty minutes from Paris.

Renoir painted his boating parties here. A hundred and forty years later, the same island hosts fairground rides, circus acts and four electronic music stages. Since 2010, the Île des Impressionnistes has been the setting for one of the most eagerly awaited events of the back-to-school season in the Paris region. Founded by Joachim Garraud under the name Inox Park and renamed Elektric Park in 2017, the festival has gradually broadened its scope from house and techno to bass music and hardstyle.

For its sixteenth edition, it is teaming up with Madame Loyal, the electronic funfair known for its over-the-top stage designs. The idea is far from trivial: it brings the world of childhood into a rave festival, and turns the island into a fairground sitting in the middle of the Seine. The line-up follows the same logic of excess, with Bob Sinclar, Petit Biscuit, Joachim Garraud, Skream & Benga, Hannah Laing, Miss K8, Billx, Ascendant Vierge and Upsilone.

It remains to be seen how the meeting turns out. Funfair lights reflected on the Seine, trance taking over from house on an island surrounded by nature: the gamble is frankly more intriguing than yet another open air. Saturday from 12pm to 11.30pm, Sunday from 12pm to 9pm, RER A to Chatou-Croissy. Day passes from 43 euros, free for accompanied 3 to 12-year-olds. And two pairs of tickets are up for grabs on our social media.
