After the triumph of “Chapter One”, French label Get The Sound returns a year later with its new album, “Chapter 2”. True to its collaborative spirit, last June the label brought together 16 artists from six different countries for a second exceptional writing camp in Paris.
2023 was a pivotal year for Get The Sound, marked by standout releases and the breakthrough of some of its artists such as Lavern, Alex Keeper and “Friends & I”. “Chapter 2” emerges as the high point of that year, capturing the very essence of the label’s artistic vision. Spanning everything from bright electropop to contemplative deep house, the album celebrates electronic music in all its diversity and grandeur.
The musical journey begins with “Emotion”, a spellbinding collaboration between Amphitryon, Drics and lunne that pairs floaty melodies with emotional finesse, before diving into more introspective depths with “Scar”, a blend of emotion and melancholy by Does it Matter and Alex Keeper, elevated by the voice of Francis Skyes. Every track shows real artistic synergy, illustrating the skill with which these collaborations were crafted.
With further contributions from Androma, Homem, Thymaz, as well as Dizaro, doVicente, Altero, Donner and Niicap, “Chapter 2” stands out as an essential record to round off this memorable year in style.
