Born in 2015 out of the friendship between Arthur Lurthy and Jérémy Ruggiero, the duo Lura & Ruggiero has never stopped blowing a fresh, modern breeze through the French electronic scene. After starting out in deep house, notably with several hits on Soave Records, the duo then turned to nu disco. A bold and successful artistic shift that led them to work with Toulouse label Sidekick Music, and also gave them the chance to play big stages, such as Pharaonic Festival alongside Lost Frequencies, Ofenbach and Henri PFR.
For the duo, this series of milestones marks a real turning point and lets them show the full range of their talent on stage, but also in their DJ sets on Fun Radio and Radio FG. A busy schedule, which the duo nevertheless gradually stepped back from in 2020. During that rather unusual year, they spoke publicly only once, to announce the arrival of “You”. A catchy track that brings together the best of the duo and managed to win over their audience, as well as several media outlets. But this reappearance was ultimately short-lived: after that release, they stayed silent until 6 October.
That was the date Lura & Ruggiero made an unexpected return and announced the release of “Leaving my life”. A top-flight new single that quickly makes us forget that long absence. Always on the lookout for something new, the duo this time experiments with a production whose rhythm is less dance-driven than their previous ones, but just as groovy. An effective recipe built on a nu-disco bassline and colourful synths, all seasoned with French Touch influences.
