Four years have passed since their very first single together, “Changes”, released in November 2013 and picked up by none other than the famous German brand “Mercedes” for one of its advertising campaigns. Today, Faul & Wad make a long-awaited return with “I Need You”, a new single for which they called on New Zealand singer Avalanche City.
Unlike their previous track with Pnau, this new collaboration moves completely away from the saxophone, a musical label that was regularly pinned on them. Instead, the duo is after a new recipe based on a balance between deep sounds and Avalanche City’s folk touch, to which they add an elegant violin chorus, an instrument Wad has played since the age of 10.
