Who are you?
We are 2 graduates of the École Supérieure de Réalisation Audiovisuelle in RENNES, specialising in “Studio & Music”. We’re between 20 and 30 😉 and we live in the Paris region. We met at school in first year and the artistic connection was instant (music projects, shared interests, etc.)
How long have you been making music?
We started music at a very young age (first year of primary school)
Hovig: conservatoire diploma in classical guitar and music theory
Axel: conservatoire diploma in percussion and music theory.
Instruments played: guitar (classical, jazz, gypsy jazz, rock, blues etc.), xylophone (stage orchestra), piano, drums, bass and duduk.
On top of that, we’ve been doing music production for about ten years.

You’ve surely been asked this before: why KLYMVX?
KLYMVX is pronounced “KLY-MAX”. We got the idea for the name from our screenwriting (film) classes. The term “climax” means the high point of a film’s plot and, in other words, can also mean “orgasm”.
What are your influences?
As for channels, we’re inspired by the music on “AUX London” (big up to Peter!!), “Chill Nation” (big up to Kai), “The Vide Guide”, “La Belle Musique” and “TheSoundYouNeed”. A thought for those we’ve forgotten… Artistically speaking, our influences lean towards the whole Chill-Out scene.
You’ve just passed 20,000 followers on SoundCloud. What contributed to your success?
To start with, our first track “Fallen Ft. COZY” helped build our artistic image. Shortly afterwards, we met Peter (owner of the AUX London channel), who helped us a lot in growing our audience. The major boost was our first collaboration with the German collective Hitimpulse. The track we made with them came out on the Chill Nation channel and got a really nice write-up on YourEDM.com. In terms of audience, our remix passed 750K in just over a month.
We also collaborated with a Dutch singer, Emma Heesters, on our remix of Lean On. It was played for several weeks by Matoma (a leading figure of the Chill/Deep & Tropical scene). We’re very grateful to him and all the prouder for it. Tom & Stian, we love you guys. Our latest remix is “Trap Queen”, this time in collaboration with our Swedish friends “SAMURAII” (big up to Anton & Erik).
We remixed the cover by Kurt Hugo Schneider & Josh Levi. It was a big hit on social media. Number 1 in the ambient category on SoundCloud, and we’re still on the podium in 3rd place; number 2 on the HypeM Main Chart; number 1 on the HypeM Remix Only Chart. Trap Queen was also posted by the Chill Nation YouTube channel.
You made an official remix for Charlie Puth. How did that come about?
We were contacted by Atlantic Records, asking us to remix Charlie Puth’s latest single “One Call Away”. Everything moved very fast, as we had one week to hand in a draft. But we sent the final, mixed version instead. A few weeks later, we were contacted by the DJ/producer “FrankE” (we’ll let you check out his discography on Wikipedia 😉), telling us that our remix of “One Call Away” would be part of the music for the Fiat Chrysler ad shown during the “American Music Awards” ceremony.
What are your next projects?
We’ve got some big, beautiful surprises in store for you…
