In 2012, American singer-songwriter Santigold released “Disparate Youth”, one of the biggest successes of her career, now reworked by the duo Juicy Cola. The two Parisian producers reshape the original track and give it a whole new twist with a male voice that belongs to none other than singer Ledeunff, who is also guitarist with the collective Hocus Pocus. Three years ago, he posted an acoustic version of “Disparate Youth” on his SoundCloud, which the Juicy Cola members dug up and reworked a few years later.
Signed last year to the second compilation from the label Crosswalk Records, Juicy Cola has already made a name for itself with “Lost” and “Hospital Beds”, in which the duo cultivates broad musical influences, halfway between chill, deep and pop. A signing that has also allowed them to play live alongside big names like Möwe, Ofenbach and Max Manie. The group is currently preparing a new single, due out by the end of the year.
In the meantime, you can catch them after the summer of 2017 at Festival Bois Noir in Pragniot, in the Loire.
