With Rhythm of the Sun, Mondingo continues the escape he began with You and Underwater. From his studio deep in the forest in Durbuy, Belgium, the Belgian producer crafts a sunny, organic EP, where electronic textures take root in nature. The title track, co-written with his friend Dim Kelly, closes this triptych. Conceived as a tribute to the last light of the day, it captures the warmth of a sunset through delicate acoustic guitar, an airy vocal and an enveloping pulse.
Two remixes by Stereoclip and Felix Raphael also extend the experience, swinging between introspection and club energy. Both a culmination and a springboard, this EP paves the way for Island, Mondingo’s debut album, due on 9 May on his label Moodshine. A luminous soundtrack for those who dream of faraway places, eyes wide open.
