Last spring, photographer and globetrotter Mathieu Leca showed a little more of the extent of his talent with the release of “Island”. A track he produced under the alias PalaisVert, marking his first steps in production. Those first steps were particularly successful, and a few months later he followed up with “Maasaï”, a second taste of an EP he seems to have already thought through carefully. From the Caribbean to Kenya by way of Sri Lanka, each of his journeys helps build this rich, colourful world that suits him so well.
This Friday, 25 February, almost a year after the project began, the artist is back with the official release of “Pangea”. A true gem with ethnic inspirations, this EP brings together no fewer than 6 tracks, 3 of them previously unreleased. And while the work wonderfully celebrates cultural diversity, it was composed with a strong desire to bring humanity together more than ever. Signed to Velvet Coliseum, the EP is out now on all platforms.
