In case you missed it last Friday, Bormin’ has released a new single. Discovered through the tracks “Night & Day” and “Back & Forth”, the barely twenty-year-old duo presents “Peace (A Mushroom Cloud)”, a third single paying tribute to the glorious rock’n’roll years. It is a cover of a Sammy Salvo track released in 1961. The two members of Bormin’ say they fell head over heels for the original, which they discovered during a long spell spent trawling the streaming platforms.
“There was a period when we listened to a lot of tracks from the sixties. Streaming platforms let us move easily between different artists, and that’s where we discovered Sammy Salvo…”
Now married to a touch of electro pop, “Peace (A Mushroom Cloud)” would sit perfectly on a film soundtrack or on one of the Bon Entendeur collective’s mixtapes.
