Released on 1 May on Multicolor Records, “Down By The Sea” marks the third collaboration between French producer Sainte Barbe and Belgian singer Jan Aygün. The duo came together in late 2023 with “I’ll Miss You So”, followed by “White Sand” in early 2024, two singles that had already laid the foundations of a chemistry tailor-made for summer playlists.
Since his debut in 2019, Sainte Barbe has established himself as one of the most prolific laboratories in French electronic music. Seven albums to his name, a “Sainte Barbe Weekly” challenge in 2022 (one track released every week for a year, taking in jazz, neo soul, indie rock, disco house and even classical), and the “REVOLUTION XXI” series sampling Shiloh Dynasty, which racked up more than 2 million streams before its BRONZE, SILVER and GOLD reissues.
With “Down By The Sea”, the duo confirms in 2 minutes 31 a chemistry that is just waiting to blossom, perhaps on a future joint album.
