When Antis revealed his first EP “Melanj” last year, we discovered a very wide range of influences, lifted by catchy melodies like the one in “Fool”. And although this new creative palette moves away from the one he used for his remixes of Brigitte Bardot, Axelle Red (…), which earned him the recognition of his first fans, it has allowed him to assert himself further on the French electronic scene and define his own identity. So naturally, when the Parisian producer presents an official remix, it can only be an excellent distillation of all the music that has made up his DNA so far.
Released in autumn 2018, “No, No” is originally a folk ballad by singer Joe Bel, who rose to fame through Cyril Gelblat’s film “Tout pour être heureux”. Won over by the singer’s tune and voice, Antis chose to give this track a more summery, electronic feel. The artist also stays fairly faithful to what made the original so charming, and brings a breath of fresh air during this heatwave. Signed to Crosswalk Records, the remix is waiting for you below.
