Hailing from Toulon, Pierre Abbate, aka Le Pèdre, is one of the new faces of French electro rock, with everything it takes to build a fine musical career. Raised from a very young age on the Blues Rock records his father listened to, it was only at 19, when he began studying law, that he took a real interest in music, and more specifically in the world of DJing. His determination and passion soon took him into several clubs on the Mediterranean coast, such as the High club in Nice and the Oko Club in La Garde. His shows quickly got people talking and caught the attention of promoters, who didn’t hesitate to have him share the stage with Kungs, Bakermat and Lost Frequencies.

At the same time, he tried his hand at production and gradually began composing his first tracks, with a Deep House and Blues feel. In 2017 he released three singles, including “Love Me Back”, made in collaboration with Ginkgo, which proved a real success. His interest in the art of music grew stronger, eventually pushing him to release a first EP in February 2018, titled Close Your Eyes and signed to Chill Masters Records, the label of the YouTube channel with 600,000 subscribers.

After several months of work, Le Pèdre is now back in the spotlight with “I Love Rock’N Roll”, a contemporary cover of one of the greatest rock classics. Originally released in 1975 by The Arrows, the song was later reinterpreted by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts in the early 80s. The DJ and producer chose to make this cross-generational track his own, giving it an electro touch while also trying to reconcile rock fans with today’s club trends. To do so, the artist doesn’t hold back on giving the track real momentum. Available today on all streaming platforms, “I Love Rock’N Roll” has already been added to the NRJ radio playlist.
