We all know this difficult period, which keeps us from a large part of life’s cultural pleasures. But for Lucas Cozy, giving some of them up is out of the question. Instead, the artist chose to turn those negative waves into positive vibes, as he shows with his latest single “We Dance”. Recorded during the first lockdown to chase away boredom, this up-tempo electro track offers a touch of nostalgia and hope. Lucas shares his urge to express himself, to sing freely and to party all night long, with no limits or restrictions.

While the artist handled the writing and composition, he built the instrumental production together with his longtime friend Stone Van Brooken. Made for the club, it comes with an incredible bassline. It’s not the first time the two artists have worked together: back in 2017 they released a joint track called “Hiding Way”, out on Casual Jam.

Lucas Cozy: We Dance

More used to summer pop songs, as we heard on “Favorite Song” or “Breathin”, Lucas Cozy is finally returning to the more electronic, futuristic sounds he started out with. As a foretaste of his next album, due in June 2021, “We Dance” marks a real return to his roots and a desire for change.

After playing a series of free mini-concerts this summer in his native Brittany, with the sole aim of bringing back some joy and fun, Lucas packed his bags a few days before this second lockdown and headed to Réunion Island. He went there to recharge, but also to work on music for the 2021 edition of Eurovision. It’s a project he has been involved in alongside other artists, and it once again highlights his incredible talent. Besides his own project, the Rennes native is also behind several collaborations known around the world, such as “California” with the legendary Snoop Dogg, and “Blind” with HUKO, which has racked up more than 5 million streams on Spotify.

The artist hasn’t finished making headlines, and he’ll be back in January to unveil a second track from his upcoming album.
