It all started in a student bedroom in Lille, in 2015. Ten years later, Seve and its whistle have racked up more than 5 billion streams, the equivalent of around a hundred diamond records, and Malo remains one of the most-streamed French artists in the world.

Having settled for a single release a year over the last three years, he unveils Is It Me That You Need, out on 19 June on Egoist Records (under licence to Sony Music France), his first shot of 2026. And let’s be honest: scarcity suits Tez Cadey. Not one single has disappointed.

The track opens on a catchy guitar line and glides between pop house and French touch, with a hushed vocal laid over Saë’s bassline. The Tez Cadey signature, always on the edge between electronic music and pop: bright, crowd-pleasing. Except that beneath the sunny groove, the lyrics are about a call you let ring out. The party, but with your heart somewhere else.
