When Crisologo, the specialist in French pop and rap covers, takes on one of the songs of the moment, the result is always as original as it is impressive. His SoundCloud already features more than a dozen remixes with stripped-back deep house lines, such as his take on Camelia Jordana, or Hatik’s “Angela”. But until now, only his cover of Lomepal’s “Trop beau” was available on every platform. That one has racked up more than 30 million streams and was even mentioned on the famous TV show Quotidien.
And because the artist doesn’t seem to want to stop while he’s on a roll, overnight he unveiled a second cover, also available on every streaming service. This time it’s “La meilleure”, one of the biggest hits in rapper Hatik’s discography. In this new version, carried by Mae’s spellbinding voice, Crisologo once again combines his passions for rap and electro. Check out the result below:
