For more than a year now, Efix, the Montpellier DJ/producer, hadn’t delivered any new sonic gems, but no, he hasn’t forgotten us. After his success with the Damian Marley remix and his collaboration with Henry Pfr, he is back with a new track: “Louise”. On this track, Efix has chosen to take us into a slightly different register from the one we are used to: even though his Deep House side is still very much there, this time he adds a touch of Techno. However, as you can hear, the acoustic instruments he usually uses, such as the violin, an undeniable feature of Efix’s compositions, and the guitar (a sample of Ausencia orishas), are still very much present.
The wait has been long, but Efix has kept us hanging on until the release of this new track, much less “summer” than the previous ones. Still, his aim being to take people on a journey through his music and to stir emotion, he has pulled it off.
Those who have already watched the documentary about Efix’s life, which I’ve put just below and which I urge you to watch if you haven’t seen it, could already hear a snippet of this track, which had caught our attention.
