Known as the BPM Contest, the competition has been, since 2011, a dream springboard for up-and-coming electronic music producers. Dedicated to French artists, it has helped launch the careers of several artists whose names are now firmly established on the French and international electronic scene. Krono, Else, Tez cadey, and more recently French 79 and Les Gordon were all discovered there.

To take part, and try to win this prestigious competition, artists must submit their application on bpmcontest.com, presenting their music project along with a listening link, before 30 March 2021. At the end of this first stage, 12 talents will be selected from all the entrants. These 12 finalists will be invited to perform via livestream in the Clubbing TV studios. A format that differs from the usual tours across France because of the current conditions linked to the health crisis.

A jury of 8 music industry professionals will then judge and score each of the 12 selected projects, before naming the overall winner of the BPM Contest 2021 prize. The winner will be rewarded with the production, recording, distribution and promotion of an EP.
