It’s the French Touch event of the start of the year. After setting the Grand Rex alight last night alongside Breakbot and u.r.trax, Angèle and the duo Justice finally release the video for their explosive collaboration: “What You Want”.
It all started in December 2024, backstage at a Justice concert in Brussels. They clicked immediately. Angèle played her demos to Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay, who fell for this “sultry and offbeat” track. The result? A perfect fusion of the Belgian singer’s smooth pop and the iconic duo’s French Touch expertise.
The video, shot in a single night in the back streets of Marseille, is a visual knockout from the collective (LA)HORDE. Between a launderette and a PMU bar, Angèle asserts herself as a powerful queer icon, dancing alongside Mora Monsecour. Following on from her performance at the Paris Olympics, the artist confirms her electronic turn and her empowerment, breaking the codes of a historically male genre. More than a single, “What You Want” is the anthem of a new generation.
