With Nothing Hurts Like Everything, Ourson unveils his debut album and marks a key step in his journey. Behind the project, Dimitri has spent several years shaping a world where melodic electronics meet an almost cinematic sensitivity. After years of writing for others, then building Ourson between Paris and Montreal, he brings together a deeply personal body of work here, fed by distinctive collaborations, notably with Yorina, Richard Walters, BJØRN, Lily Denning and Polena.
The album lingers on that pivotal period of adolescence, when emotions that are too strong and too fast sometimes only make sense with time. Across ten tracks, Ourson explores deep synth pads, emotionally charged harmonies and powerful rhythms, leaving room for pauses and silences.
Released on his YouTube channel, a film also accompanies the release, in the form of a video that strings together excerpts from all ten tracks. Another way to travel through the album, in pictures. Nothing Hurts Like Everything plays like an inner space, somewhere between memory and a gradual sense of calm.
