After cutting his teeth at Rodmusic Records with the EP Places We’ve Never Been, then unveiling Times I’ve Missed on Beyond Records, Ourson is taking a new step. The producer presents Vast Unknown, a fourth EP that is intimate and contemplative, steeped in memories and light.
The story of this record goes back to a night spent in Paris ten years ago. A sunrise, a revelation, then the birth of a project with no plan, driven by a gut-deep need: to create. On recently rediscovering old, forgotten demos, Ourson decided to bring them back to life. Vast Unknown thus becomes the link between that drifting past and a more mature present.
Made up of eight tracks, including the moving Breathing, Fall Apart (feat. Benji Lewis) and Feel The Love (with Ren Ocean), the EP moves between melodic electronica and organic softness. Each track seems to carry a piece of a story, an emotion, a moment suspended in time.
With Vast Unknown, Ourson delivers a soulful, sincere and deeply human work. A sonic logbook, somewhere between melancholy and blue light.
