Barely two weeks after unveiling the CLONED Vol.1 EP, with its dark, resolutely club textures, Ofenbach have caught everyone off guard. The Parisian duo are giving their fans no breathing space and are already back with a landmark collaboration alongside virtuoso Sofiane Pamart, just days before their Zénith de Paris show on 13 March.
While the CLONED series seems far from over, this new track, called “Cynical”, marks a clear aesthetic break. Where the first volume explored darker sounds, this one goes back to a more melodic, hybrid essence. You get the duo’s formidable punch, this time elevated by the melancholy of Pamart, who lays his delicate synths over a polished production.
Between choral voices and a mystical aura, this perfect chemistry carries over into a music video in which the “clones” aesthetic keeps haunting the screen. A collaboration that comes at just the right moment to bring the Cloned tour to a beautiful close.
