A year after the release of her last track, Sara Costa is back in the spotlight with a new single called “My Way”. Out today, this funky, colourful track was written in collaboration with soul singer Opé Smith. Despite having to stay at home, the Lyon DJ and producer tells us that lockdown made her more productive and gave her creativity an extra boost.
“I hadn’t released anything for a year, apart from remixes for other bands. With lockdown, I took the time to polish my projects, and I also made the most of it to work with Opé Smith again. I wanted to put out a track with a certain elegance, a roundness, a classier kind of nonchalance, something that evokes a glass of champagne more than a half-pint of beer…”
As a reminder, Sara Costa came out of UCPA’s “DJ school”, where she completed a full course that allowed her to play her first club dates. Alongside this, she developed her production skills and presented “Sirop” in 2017. A first single and a first success that gave her the chance to perform all over France. Since then, her project has grown with five more tracks, and many others are on the way.
