If their first collaboration on “Cold Hearted” was such a success, it was no accident: the chemistry between Thoj and Otta is obvious. It all began a year ago, when Thomas Le Du, aka Thoj, offered OTTA a reworked version of one of his tracks. Though they barely knew each other, the magic between their two worlds worked straight away and won over the label 96 Musique, before catching the eye of Universal Music a few months later.
Things then sped up: the two artists performed live on numerous occasions, and OTTA made a much-noticed appearance on the latest season of The Voice, delivering an incredible version of Lewis Capaldi’s “Bruise”.
Now they reunite as a duo, with a bond stronger than ever, on “Heartbeat”. A vibrant second single, written in collaboration with Mark Weld, the songwriter behind several big hits in French pop. Set against the backdrop of a great cry of love, OTTA tells the story of a man fighting to win back the woman he loves, despite his mistakes and clumsiness. A message of hope and a tune that is already stuck in everyone’s head.
