Thoj, the Parisian musician signed to The Avener’s label 96 Musique, really knows how to pick his collaborators. After two collaborations with singer Lisa Pariente, who has become the true queen of covers on social media, this time he teams up with OTTA, a French singer who has worked on many international projects in the past.
Their collaboration is called “Cold Hearted”, and it follows a first acoustic version released by OTTA during the first lockdown. On this reissue, Thoj completely reworks the instrumental production, stamping it with his own style and musical signature. The result is a much sunnier, more danceable track, with his guitar and the upbeat house rhythm that has become his trademark. Used to making homemade videos shot on his iPhone, Thoj also takes us on a trip to his home town of Nice, where we catch his artist friend Djiango painting the single’s cover.
