With ‘Believe in Spring’, Clément Bazin makes a lovely comeback, weaving a vibrant ode to resilience and hope. Begun in 2019, this second album is the result of deep introspection, inspired by a winter of lockdown and grief, from which he draws a dazzling light. Taking refuge behind his steeldrum, a Caribbean emblem and the artist’s signature, Clément Bazin creates a spellbinding, moving soundscape that becomes the album’s common thread. By inviting Maky Lavender and TONI to collaborate, the artist also taps into the grandeur of musicals and, with this work, pays subtle tribute to Michel Legrand and his song “You Must Believe in Spring”.
