It had been several months since we last saw so much as a hint of a new Kungs track. But after a recent change of artistic direction, here he is back in the spotlight with “Dopamine” featuring J Hart. Acoustic arrangements, melodic house sounds: the artist nonetheless seems to be returning to some of the fundamentals behind his early hits. Indeed, the melody and instruments used on this new single are somewhat reminiscent of “Candy” with Jasmine Thompson, or his remix of John Legend’s “All Of me”. A gorgeous track that still leaves some uncertainty about the shape of his next album, which is still in the works.
