On 23 September, a major event took place at the Théâtre de Verdure in Nice: the BLACKOUT OPEN AIR. Nearly 3,000 people, 5 local DJ/producers and 8 hours of partying! Here’s a look back at the event.
For this second edition of the Blackout Open Air, the organisers pulled out all the stops to welcome the thousands of people who turned up for this major event. To keep this huge crowd going for 8 hours, no fewer than 5 DJ/producers, all from Nice or the surrounding area, put on an exceptional show.
Probably the most eagerly awaited, headliner Kungs, from Aix-en-Provence, was part of the line-up. Then, less famous but just as talented, DUOH and Boris Way, who rank among the top elite of Spinnin’ Reccord, also took part in the event.
But today it isn’t these 3 DJ/producers we have just mentioned that we want to put in the spotlight. No, our role is also to dig ever deeper and introduce you not to those already at the top, but rather to those whose music hasn’t yet reached your ears.
If we’ve never heard of them, it’s because they aren’t known, and they aren’t known because people don’t like their music, you might say. Well, think again: Monkey Joker and DJ M4t, these 2 DJ/producers, surprised more than a few people with their opening set at the Blackout Open Air. Here is a video of their solid performance.
