A few days before the release of his debut album Eurêka!, due on 17 October, Romain Garcia unveils a new taste of it in collaboration with Pépite, Regarder la nuit. A few months after Used To, the Parisian producer keeps sketching the outlines of a project conceived as an emotional journey, halfway between melody and contemplation.
On this track, Pépite’s pop poetry melts into Romain Garcia’s hushed electronic textures. Together, they deliver an ode to the end of summer, to those nights when time slows down before tipping into something else. The track also comes in an instrumental version, Regarder la nuit, les étoiles, stretching out that suspended atmosphere.
Eurêka! is shaping up as an album of balance: between light and dusk, between the energy of the club and the softness of intimacy. Written “thinking of those last nights, those parties before leaving, those moments when everything tips over”, it distils the travels and influences of an artist who has managed to turn melancholy into movement.
To go with the release, Romain Garcia is about to set off on a world tour, taking in Europe, Asia, Australia and North America. A new chapter for a producer whose music, always between sky and night, stands out as one of the most sensitive of his generation.
