Initiated by Australian singer Julia Stone, “Songs For Australia” is a charity album supporting Australia, weakened for several months by devastating fires. The project brings together a host of artists from around the world, such as Dermot Kennedy, The National and Damien Rice, as well as France’s own Petit Biscuit. The young producer is throwing himself into the cause with a beautiful cover of “Chateau” by Angus & Julia Stones. All profits from sales of the album, which will come out on vinyl and CD, will go to charities to help the country get back on its feet. Well done, Petit Biscuit.
“When Julia Stone asked me to pick an Australian song for ‘Songs For Australia’ and play it my way, I immediately thought of her song ‘Chateau’ with Angus. That song followed me everywhere last summer. It was the perfect way for me to take part in this superb album and pay tribute to Australia.” (Petit Biscuit)
