With more than 450k followers, Trinix have mastered the trendy TikTok platform so well that they also use it to promote and give fresh momentum to their own music. Already boasting an incredible discography, the duo haven’t stopped working on new productions either. Last November, during an exclusive interview in Paris, they told us a new album was coming soon. That album is called “Altitude”, and it is out now.
Released completely independently, the album contains the tracks “Easier”, “Shimmy”, “Waffle” and “Gunshot”, released over the past few months. But also several previously unreleased tracks, like “Cherokee”, which we absolutely loved, as well as a collaboration on “Little Bit” with Tom Felton, the famous British actor who plays Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films. Won over by one of their Harry Potter remix videos, the actor suggested they make a track together. An incredible stroke of luck for the duo, who are huge admirers of the saga.
“As you know, we’re massive Harry Potter fans. But never in our lives did we think we’d one day get the chance to meet and work with the actor Tom Felton.”
To build this album, Josh and Loïs went looking for inspiration high in the mountains for several weeks. A complete digital detox that let them step back and take a fresh look at their compositions. Between Hip Hop and electronic influences, the result is an extremely accomplished record that already ranks among the best of the year.
