No artist can live life at a hundred miles an hour, between tours and promotion, without it affecting both their mental health and their inspiration. Things sometimes move so fast that it becomes just as important to step back from your daily life and your artistic project. And that is exactly what Petit Biscuit has done by opening a new chapter called “Parachute”.
More introspective than his previous album “Presence”, this new record is the fruit of a two-month immersion in Iceland, which allowed him to refocus on himself and his goals. The album is made up of 9 tracks, including a collaboration with Diplo, which joins the one we already knew with Shallou. It reveals a new side of the producer’s personality, now a singer too. The barely 20-year-old from Rouen is indeed taking his first steps as a vocalist, singing on almost every track on the album. It is a risk he fully owns, and it keeps stirring wonder around a project that never stops evolving and that, over time, has lifted him to the status of an electronic music icon. Listen to “Parachute” right now.
