Born at the crossroads of the SoundCloud era and the buzz of YouTube music channels, Trinix has come a long way since. Expanded with a fourth album at the start of the year, its discography keeps winning new fans and racking up millions of plays, thanks in particular to its firepower on social media. All the more remarkable when you know that the duo has been moving forward almost entirely independently for three years now.
That said, it doesn’t rule out the odd collaboration, as with Inside Records, on which it has just released its brand-new single “She Said – Big Jet Plane”. This signing to the label of Electro Posé, the famous curator with 1.2 million subscribers on YouTube, is the logical continuation of the unwavering support the channel has given the duo since its early days.
After putting its own spin on tracks by Bill Withers, Iyaz and Eurythmics, Trinix now offers a new version of Angus and Julia Stone’s classic “Big Jet Plane”. And while there are plenty of covers of this song, this is probably one of the most appealing chill electronic versions we’ve heard. A production with a minimalist atmosphere, over which Emilee’s bewitching, delicate voice brings a pleasant breath of fresh air.
